Requirements :   Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or similar role is required. We welcome passionate individuals experienced in providing care to others, who are eager to learn and make a difference. Strong communication skills and empathy to connect with clients and their families. Valid driver's license, with reliable transportation that has current insurance, and a clean driving record. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing schedules.

On-Call Policy

Purpose of the On-Call Position :

The purpose of the on-call position is to assist the agency with last minute staffing needs. This is accomplished by paying a qualified caregiver to be ready to pick-up last-minute assignments at  any  time, for a full M-F week. The on-call person will be provided with a company vehicle and gas card for agency assignments.

What does On-Call pay?

  • 14.00 minimum per hourly shift, while on-call.
  • Incentive for guarantee of a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • 24hour shifts pay at an hourly rate of $9.00 / hour

Example 1 : You are scheduled for a 16hour work week in the field. You are still paid for 40, which is a gross pay of $560.

  • Example 2 : You are scheduled for a 45hour work week in the field. Your gross pay will be $665.00.
  • What are my duties?

  • Be available to take any assignment 24 hours a day for the full five days, Monday 8AM through Friday 8PM while you are on-call.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings.
  • Take all precautions and practice safe driving techniques while operating a company vehicle. Always return vehicle to the office upon conclusion of scheduled shift. If shift ends after business hours, we require the key be placed in the drop box and the vehicle to be locked and emptied of all personal items.
  • May Responsible for providing Orientation paperwork to New Caregivers
  • Responsible for initial home visit between new caregivers and clients as needed.
  • Be prepared to take on any of the following assignments for which you are qualified :
  • All duties outlined in the Homemaker / Companion job description.

  • All duties outlined in the Home Care Aid / Caregiver job description.
  • Supervisory visits (wellness visits) to clients’ homes.
  • Delivering / returning information or paperwork to / from clients’ homes.
  • Assisting the administrative staff with office work as needed.
  • Any other general assistance tasks needed by the agency.
  • What else do I need to know?

  • An on-call shift is from Monday morning 8 : 00am through Friday night 8 : 00pm.
  • If you turn down or are unreachable for an on-call assignment while you are on duty, we will re-evaluate the status of the position upon discussion of events pertaining to the absence / refusal and you will forfeit your on-call incentive pay. If a shift is refused, you will only be paid at the agreed upon hourly rate for confirmed service hours worked.
  • You are required to report to your assignment in a timely manner as determined by the office when assigning you to the case. Calls from the office must be returned within 15 minutes.
  • The guarantee is for 40 hours a week. When you reach the 40 hours, you are then paid $14 / hour minimum for any additional hours worked for the week. This guarantee is not $14 / hour AND the incentive.
  • We are looking to staff this position immediately - and it won't be available long - as it is a sought after position that is essential for the agency in order to have a reliable and experienced caregiver to send out in situations where our other caregivers are not available.
