CAD Designer/Detailer

We are seeking a creative CAD Designer/Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical designs and assembly instructions for rental exhibit solutions, as well as designing innovative new exhibits. This role requires a high level of precision, collaboration, and understanding of both design and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Detail:

• Develop detailed CAD drawings and specifications for custom trade show exhibits using VectorWorks.
• Create comprehensive assembly instructions that are clear and easy to follow for setup crews.
• Ensure all designs meet safety standards, aesthetic requirements, and functional specifications.
• Conceptualize and design new exhibit solutions that stand out in competitive trade show environments.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in trade show design and materials to bring fresh ideas to the table.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with Project Managers to integrate design specifics into project timelines and budgets.
• Detail all hardware requirements, ensuring accuracy in part lists, dimensions, and costs.
• Participate in meetings with clients to refine designs based on feedback and project needs.
• Assist in estimating the cost of materials and labor for fabricating and assembling exhibits.
• Suggest cost-effective alternatives without compromising design integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of designs, changes, and specifications for future reference and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in CAD design, preferably in the trade show or event industry.
• Proven track record of delivering detailed technical drawings and documentation.
