Chef & Beverage Manager

We're looking for a culinary leader who can provide our guests with fantastic dining experiences. We require a supervisor who is capable of overseeing the entire kitchen and ensuring food safety laws are followed, as well as being successful at implementing new menu items and recipes. Passion for food and the ability to inspire others to be innovative and enthusiastic kitchen professionals are highly valued skills. $65,000 - $70,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Review and track team member performance objectives, as well as offer guidance and assistance to support and promote an efficient kitchen
• Incorporate different ingredients in a creative way to produce fresh and innovative menu items and specials
• Recruit, train, and lead all kitchen personnel while instilling a sense of teamwork through positive feedback, mentoring, and support
• Control department costs that are under your management, such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment, and work with vendors to get the best products at a cost-effective price
• Be responsible for the overall success of the daily culinary operations, with an emphasis on surpassing guest expectations while driving revenue and profit

• Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve service and efficiency
• Handle customer complaints and feedback
• Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing
• Coordinate all kitchen food preparation, including processes, portioning, and garnishing, and ensure that all meals and dishes are presented elegantly
• Recruit, train, and lead all Food and Beverage personnel while instilling a sense of teamwork through positive feedback, mentoring, and support
• Set and monitor performance criteria for team members, as well as provide advice and direction to support and maintain an efficient operation
• Maintain high standards of quality control, complying with county, state, and federal laws

Qualifications:

• At least 7-8 years of culinary experience
• Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED
• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers
• Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage
• Strong leadership skills with experience leading, motivating, and developing a team
