What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Night Auditor - PT position at Embassy Suites by Hilton San Antonio Landmark?
Job Purpose:
To audit and correct paper work performed by Guest Service Agents and Food and Beverage operations. To prepare reports for Management involving rooms and food & beverage activity. To also provide a safe and secure Hotel environment for guests and Team Members through effective duties of Loss Prevention and Safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Audits daily GSA paperwork, balances postings, performs computer operations and maintains the Front Office computer system.
- Audits daily F&B paperwork, balances postings, performs computer operations, and maintains the F&B computer system.
- Balance credit card entries in the Electronic Data Capture (EDQ) program and Dollars On The Net system for all room charges and F&B transactions for the day.
- Communicates end of day issues and problems that might occur throughout shift.
- Reconciles credit card system to daily transaction list from rooms
- Use Callback program as needed.
- Act as a Guest Service Agent during regular night audit shift hours.
- Performs all essential functions associated with the position of a Loss Prevention Officer and Dispatcher.
- Conducts daily activities pertaining to Loss Prevention and Safety.
- Responds to emergency situations, takes command and control of scenes until arrival of management personnel.
- Assigns and records safety and Loss Prevention/Security inspections.
- Provides accurate information to inquires for directions, hours of operation, etc.
- Escort guests and team members as required to parking lots, provide the same for team members carrying banks.
- Assist guests with door lock problems, use moderately complex hand held electronic apparatus to program automated guest door lock.
- Transports guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
- Considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error.
- Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Ability to stand and move throughout Front Office and continuously perform essential job functions.
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and prepare complex reports.
- Ability to push/pull cart/ table weighing up to 150 lbs.; grasp, lift to waist and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Skill in use of computers and software programs associated with property operations.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, and standing for an extended period of time.
- Ability to stand, walk, and continuously perform essential job functions for an extended period of time.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and solve customer concerns.
- Thorough knowledge of the layout of the building, function rooms, and some knowledge of the city and surrounding areas.
- Ability to follow written and or verbal instructions in order to meet deadlines.
- Thorough knowledge of local, state and federal laws pertaining to the lodging industry, criminal trespass, theft, etc., as well as an in-depth knowledge of standard security/safety industry operating procedures.
- Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
Qualifications Standards
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Prior hospitality experience preferred.
License/Certificates:
CPR Certification preferred.
Valid Texas Drivers License.
