Banquet Captain

Job Summary
The Banquet Captain plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of events and banquets within our establishment. This position requires a strong background in hospitality and food service management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. The Banquet Captain will manage the banquet team, oversee event setups, and ensure that all food and beverage services meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate banquet staff to ensure smooth operations during events.
• Manage event setups, including table arrangements, decorations, and audio/visual equipment as needed.
• Provide outstanding customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during events.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food service delivery.
• Monitor food presentation and quality to maintain high standards in line with our casual dining philosophy.
• Assist in training new staff members on service techniques and hospitality best practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
• Help manage inventory of supplies related to banquets and events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a hospitality or hotel setting, is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
• Knowledge of food service management principles is a plus.
• Experience in casual dining environments is beneficial.
• Familiarity with coffee service and beverage management is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
