What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Embassy Suites Gatlinburg Resort?
The Maintenance Attendant supports the Maintenance Supervisor in the operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the hotel property. Areas of responsibility include: maintaining the exterior of the building, parking lot, common areas, all equipment in guest rooms, conducting safety inspections, and working with necessary maintenance related vendors. The Maintenance Attendant will have the ability to work independently and with other team members. They must be able to work with and communicate effectively with other hotel employees, guests, and outside vendors. The Maintenance Attendant must be in suitable physical condition to allow for the ability to bend, lift, and be standing or walking during their shift.
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Duties:
· Report to work on time in a clean and proper uniform.
§ Duty hours will require weekends and holidays.
· Respond to maintenance emergencies; even after hours.
· Perform the daily maintenance and upkeep needs of the hotel property.
§ Inspect rooms, corridors, vending areas, and other areas according to quality standards for proper preventative maintenance.
· Maintain good communication with other departments.
§ Ensure the Front Desk has current knowledge of the status of guest rooms available for rent.
· Ensure that all maintenance reports are prepared completely and on time.
§ Keep accurate completion and task records in organized files/logs.
· Ensure that proper key controls are in effect.
· Perform repair and maintenance projects by effectively coordinating and planning all tasks in advance of beginning any project.
· Utilize problem solving abilities to analyze problems and formulate plans to get work done quickly to maintain working quality of hotel property.
§ All methods, materials, and practices must meet and be in accordance with local codes and standard practices.
§ Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner. Maintain communication with supervisor to ensure that all required materials, tools, and supplies are available or on order.
· Pay attention to the details to deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guests’ needs and expectations.
· Keep Maintenance Supervisor and General Manager informed of property status (positive and negative) in a timely manner.
· Perform other duties as assigned/tasked by Maintenance Supervisor, Hotel General Manager, or ownership.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
