- The Convention Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of meeting and event planning at Hilton Hotel. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, and a passion for delivering top-tier guest experiences. The Convention Services Manager will act as the liaison between the client and the hotel staff, ensuring seamless coordination and the successful execution of conventions, conferences, and meetings hosted at the hotel.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. Provide outstanding customer service by addressing needs, answering questions, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and coordinate all aspects of conventions, conferences, and meetings, including room layouts, AV needs, catering, transportation, and other logistics. Ensure events run smoothly and within client specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, catering, operations, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless execution of all events.
- Contract Management: Negotiate event contracts, including service and pricing details, to ensure profitability while delivering excellent service.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage event budgets, providing accurate estimates and controlling costs to maximize profitability.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly resolve any issues or challenges that arise before, during, or after events to ensure client satisfaction.
- Event Marketing: Assist the sales team in promoting the hotel’s convention and meeting services to potential clients.
- Post-Event Feedback: Gather feedback from clients after events to ensure satisfaction and gather insights to improve future events.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in event planning or hotel services, with a strong preference for prior experience in a convention services or catering environment.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
- Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Delphi /FDC experience a plus
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or similar certification preferred, but not required.
