Workdays :
Sunday 10am - 6 : 30pm
Wednesday-Saturday 3pm -11pm
JOB SUMMARY :
This position includes guest room calls. Ensure condition of grounds and pool area are clean, safe and cleared of any debris, trash or weather-related matters. Proactively fix and repair items as identified and as reported by guests and employees. Participate in all maintenance projects. Troubleshooting appliances and other technical issues. Daily hotel Inspections to ensure hotel premises are safe and functional for guests and employees.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis and in a manner that does not disturb guests.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and keep all maintenance equipment in good repair.
- Become familiar with the chemicals used in the department, the related risks and treatment if it affects an employee.
- Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
- Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
- Perform maintenance activities like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing, electrical equipment, and cosmetic items including lamps, program TV’s, etc.
- Perform preventive maintenance of all mechanical / electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.
- Implement management company and hotel’s safety and emergency policies and procedures (i.e. evacuation, first aid, etc.) to include removing all safety hazards.
