Donor Engagement and Events Coordinator
SUMMARY: EmBe is seeking an experienced Donor Engagement and Events Coordinator with excellent customer service skills. Primary duties will be to cultivate and manage positive relationships with donors, event attendees, sponsors, and the community. This individual will report to the Chief Development Officer to provide support for fundraising, donor relations, and event planning to the four pillars of EmBe.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure EmBe brand, mission, and values are reflected in all interactions
- Responsible for the donor management system through entering/thanking/tracking all donations that are made to the organization
- Support the CDO, CEO, and Senior Leadership team in developing a plan for solicitation of gifts
- Ability to create annual reports, solicitations, and various communication pieces to donors, vendors, volunteers, staff, and community
- Plan and assist with events. Duties include creating a theme, soliciting businesses and donors, acquiring sponsorships, pulling lists from donor management software, tracking RSVP’s, working with vendors, and more
- Support the four pillars of EmBe with event planning and solicitations
- Work with Development and Marketing team to increase event participation and revenue
- Create opportunities for donor engagement and stewardship
- Ability to go out in the community and share the story of EmBe
- Assist with grant development, research, and grant tracking
- Work closely with the Marketing Team on various projects
- Analyze data such as donor retention rates and efficacy of donor stewardship initiatives, and present findings
- Support the CDO in creating an annual Development Plan to increase revenue and donor base
- Provide administrative support as needed to the CEO and CDO
- Support the CEO and CDO in community engagement through scheduling meetings and correspondence in a timely and professional manner
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in non-profit fundraising including a knowledge of principles and practices of fundraising development preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required
- Experience with a donor database is an advantage
- Event and donor relations experience is preferred
- Excellent organization, project, and time management, problem-solving, customer service skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create budgets for events
- Ability to handle multiple tasks using initiative to overcome obstacles and complete tasks accurately and on deadline
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
- No staff member will have a felony conviction on record within the past five years

- Frequent standing and walking
- Frequent use of hands and arms
- Occasional lifting of 20 to 40 lbs.
- Occasional need to climb, balance, kneel or crouch
WORK EXPOSURE:
- Work is primarily performed in an indoor office environment. Occasional outdoor exposure when weather permits.
- Noise level is quiet.
- Volunteer participation supporting EmBe events is encouraged.
