Tech Resiliency Consultant
We're seeking a Tech Resiliency Consultant to support one of our key clients in building and strengthening their IT continuity, risk preparedness, and failure response strategies. This role ensures that critical systems and operations are protected against disruption—whether it’s a cyberattack, power outage, or system failure—and that recovery plans are tested, documented, and ready when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Identify potential failure points across systems, applications, and networks and lead efforts to test these scenarios through simulations like disaster recovery and failover testing.
- Design and implement resiliency strategies, including technical controls (redundancy, backup systems, monitoring) and process frameworks (response plans, escalation protocols, documentation).
- Partner with IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and risk teams to ensure alignment with broader governance and compliance frameworks.
- Support the creation and continuous refinement of recovery playbooks, runbooks, and stakeholder communications for incidents and outages.
- Bridge the gap between technical and risk functions by translating operational vulnerabilities into actionable remediation plans and leadership-ready reporting.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in IT risk management, disaster recovery, business continuity, or systems operations.
- Familiarity with IT risk and control frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT) and regulatory expectations.
- Experience conducting or supporting DR/BCP testing, failover simulations, and IT incident response planning.
- Strong understanding of systems infrastructure, automated failover, and monitoring tools.
- Clear communicator with experience collaborating across both technical teams and risk/compliance stakeholders.
Skills:
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on risk reduction and operational uptime.
- Ability to lead testing initiatives, synthesize data into actionable insights, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple resiliency efforts and prioritize risk mitigation activities.
- Collaborative leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities across diverse technology and business functions.
