We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team at Ember Music Hall in a vibrant and fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and efficiently according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Manage multiple orders accurately in a high-volume setting.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware and equipment.
- Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tabs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
Experience
- Previous bartending experience is required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards is essential.
- Experience with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- A background in high-volume establishments is beneficial.
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and helping others create memorable experiences.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Our typical week is operating Thursday-Saturday, with rotating show schedule that could include any weekday. Open night availability is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
