To be a successful Adoption Director you must become able to do the following always:
- Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
- Oversee the Adoption department and provide administrative oversight and program support. Ensure the budget is met by monitoring the usage of financial resources. Ensure the departments operate within budget and is consistent with policies.
- Provide direct supervision and support of supervisees utilizing the Company model for supervision, Supervision for Success.
- Consult during concurrent planning decisions, termination of parental rights/relinquishment decision, and authorize the Best Interest Staffing Team Decision.
- Staff potential disruptions and coordinate the adoption dissolution staffing process.
- Participate in company and/or statewide meetings concerning adoption and kinship. Collaborate with and maintain professional relationships with external agencies contracting services.?
- Assist in training on adoption and kinship related topics.
- Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
- Crisis support for adoption department.

To qualify for this job, you need to have:
- Master’s degree required. Licensed practitioner.
- Two years of adoption practice experience.
- 21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
- Maintain company-required training.
- Physical working requirements - Ability to travel, driving company or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to do occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Able to walk stairs. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Employees are subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, and inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
