To be a successful Success Coach you must be willing and become able to do the following always:
- Models and teaches youth the knowledge and skills they will need to successfully exit the facility and live in a community setting by using a trauma informed approach focused on resiliency and recovery.
- Helps youth self-manage their behavior by using SCM (Safe Crisis Management) without the need for the use of emergency safety interventions.
- Achieves positive discharge outcomes for youth.
- Follow Company Policies and Procedure as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the Guide to Successfully Manage the Milieu.
How you will spend your time in this job:
- 70% Models for and teaches youth the knowledge and skills needed to return to a community setting
- 20% Maintain and prepare records/documentation
- 10% Participation in supervision, agency-wide and staff meetings.
To qualify for this job, you need to:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to write and type on a keyboard.
- Ability to travel, driving a company or personal vehicle including at night.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, including up stairs, and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to complete an emergency safety intervention as trained. Ability to be subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally and inside conditions frequently.
