To be a successful Kinship Supervisor you must become able to do the following always:
- Ensure trauma informed programming occurs with a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
- Provide supervision utilizing Supervision for Success to ensure staff are trained and competent in their job.
- Oversee the development, coordination, and management of all Kinship services for assigned area.
- Ensure the department remains focused on relative and Non-Related Kin (NRKIN) support and engagement.
- Provide training and consultation to other departments on relative and NRKIN support and engagement.
- Create and monitor budget for department financial success.
- Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
- Participate in supervisory on-call rotation.
