To be a successful Vice President of Permanency Services you must become able to do the following always:
- Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
- Direct and supervise Program Directors for Permanency Services to include reintegration, adoption, kinship, and specialized teams to include Independent Living, Crossover, and Hope Unified for Belonging (HUB) to ensure safe, timely, and quality services are delivered to children and families.
- Work closely with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), courts, providers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality services, responsiveness, and contract compliance and to build strong and confident relationships.
- Implement and ensure evidence-based prevention strategies and practice models to include the Kansas Practice Model, Crossover Youth Practice Model, Family Finding, and Team Decision Making are working as intended to address the safety, permanency, and wellbeing of clients served.
- Oversee service delivery to ensure EmberHope is in compliance with Federal and State statutes, regulations, DCF policy, and performance outcomes set forth by DCF. Remove barriers that may result in liquidated damages for outcomes not being met. Work with President and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement to take action needed for performance improvement and fulfill Corrective Action Plans (CAP). Strategize actions needed to meet settlement agreement and Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) outcomes.
- Participate in state and local initiatives or projects.
- Be willing and able to provide 24/7/365 shared responsibility for the contract. This will be a shared rotation with the President and VP of Program Operations. Support On-Call needs, handle emergencies, and notify the CEO as appropriate.
- Assist with CARF accreditation.
- Ensure program best practice and assist with practice note development and review.
- Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
