To be a successful Residential Therapist you must become able to do the following always:
1. Utilize trauma informed practices to create a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
2. Identify and address the skills needed for the client to safely and successfully transition back into a community setting through individual, group and family therapy utilizing trauma informed practices.
3. May provide short-term aftercare services including in-home family therapy.
4. Complete client documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and client progress notes per policy standards.
5. Coordinate client care with community service providers.
6. Provide consultation to program staff as needed.
7. Provide court reports/testimony when necessary.
8. Participate in Residential Clinical on call rotation.
9. Participate in client recertification processes.
10. Participation in treatment team meetings, supervision, agency-wide and staff meetings.
11. Follow EmberHope’s Policy and Procedure and operate according to the EmberHope’s Program Practice Guidelines.
12. Achieve positive client discharge outcomes.
