To be a successful Relative Licensor you must become able to do the following always:
1. Partner with Kinship staff to receive information and referrals to license Relatives/Non-Related Kin placements.
2. Make timely contact with Relative and Non-Related Kin families following initial placement to assess willingness to license, while assessing the home’s ability to meet licensing requirements.
3. Track and monitor licensing progress. Work with the family to promote timely licensing.
4. Complete comprehensive family assessments prior to family licensure.
5. Ensure all licensing documentation is completed, filed, and submitted in time. Maintain knowledge in Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing requirements and confirm compliance.
6. Work with DCF Licensing Division to obtain license.
7. Enter family information into the designated data management system. Ensure information entered is accurate.
8. Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
