To be a successful Foster Care Supervisor - Licensed you must become able to do the following always:
1. Ensure trauma informed programming occurs with a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery
2. Provide supervision for foster care staff in the assigned area including recruitment, training, licensing, foster home support and supervision, and administrative assistance. Conduct timely interviews for vacant positions and hire quality applicants. Successfully address employee needs and concerns.
3. Oversee the development, coordination, and management of all foster care services for assigned region. Exercise discretion and judgement in the best interest staff, children served, and foster parents. Ensure the best customer service is being provided to all interfacing with the department.
4. Oversee the assigned area’s growth the involvement of churches, community, and other faith-based organizations to increase foster home recruitment.
5. Ensure compliance to regulatory board requirements including maintenance of field training. Knowledge of DCF licensing standards for both initial licensing and on-going licensure for foster parents.
6. Demonstrate the willingness to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job within the competencies established for the position and meet department goals.
7. Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
