To be a successful Opportunity Academy Liaison/Activities Coordinator you must be willing and become able to do the following always:
- Prepare food items and serve planned quantities at stated time following the federal food service menu specifications.
- Follow and maintain food service guidelines and safety standards (HACCP).
- Maintain a sanitary and well-organized kitchen.
- Complete regular inventory of food and order food based on a weekly basis based on inventory.
- Complete clean up and dishwashing duties.
- Keep and maintain accurate and timely records as required by regulations and accreditation standards.
- Keep accurate and timely food and appliance temperature logs.
- Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Employee Handbook and the Guide to Successfully being a Residential Cook.
How you will spend your time in this job:
- 60% Food service
- 20% Kitchen cleanliness and safety
- 15% Documentation and record keeping
- 5% Meetings and training
To qualify for this job, you need to have:
- Be 21 years of age.
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Food handler’s certificate required before beginning employment.
- The ability to write and type and use a computer.
- Ability to travel, driving a company or personal vehicle including at night.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, including up stairs, and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to complete an emergency safety intervention as trained. Ability to be subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally and inside conditions frequently.
