To be a successful Permanency Supervisor you must become able to do the following always:
- Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
- Oversee all case management functions for children and families that lead to permanency.
- Provide services to assist in the achievement of state outcomes relevant to the position.
- Follow internal and external training requirements. Provide trainings to staff relevant to case management services.
- Ensure that the transportation and placement needs of all clients are appropriately provided.
- Work with the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Department to ensure that standards of quality, utilization, and management of services are monitored and accomplished through a data-driven methodology. Ensure that accreditation standards are met. Ensure all Case Management Service activities are completed and entered in a timely manner.
- Work closely with DCF, courts, providers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality services, responsiveness, and contract compliance.
- Ensure that crisis intervention services for clients and caregivers, including consultation, therapeutic intervention, and crisis safety planning are available. Ensure that immediate client crises are resolved among staff and coordinate with the On-Call Unit.
- Provide supervision for Permanency Specialists ensuring staff are trained and competent in job functions, meet or exceed their performance expectations, outcomes, and goals.
- Always follow Supervision for Success Model.
- Review and approve required documents and reports as needed.
- Create and monitor budget for department financial success.
- Partner with the Data Services Department on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) processes and workflows.
- Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
- Participate in supervisory on-call rotation.

To qualify for this job, you need to have:
- Master’s degree in social work or comparable human service field preferred or a bachelor’s degree in social work or comparable human service field and two years’ experience in direct service or case management. Preference is given to professionals licensed by the behavioral sciences regulatory board to practice in Kansas.
- This position also requires a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance and the ability to travel, driving company or personal vehicle including at night.
- 21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
- Maintain company-required training.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
- The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, and inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change. (Physical working requirements).
