Child Homecare Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Homecare Specialist to join a brand new division of our company. This role is essential in fostering the growth and development of children through engaging directly with parents and caregivers to give them the support they need. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood education and a passion for nurturing young minds. You will work closely with families within their homes to create an enriching environment that promotes learning and development instilled with Christian values. Our goal is to provide busy families the resources to create more balance at home and improve their inter-familial relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision for children of all ages and as requested by families within the home. This may include guiding children through age-appropriate activities, preparing meals, homework guidance, literacy development, and supporting parents with basic home-care duties.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and social skills. Guide and assist parents with implementing positive reinforcement techniques, focusing on compassion, empathy, and kindness.
• Collaborate with parents to discuss their child's development, addressing concerns or questions they may have. Assist parents in sourcing and utilizing local and community resources applicable to the individual family and child needs.
• Be punctual, polite, and professional at all times.
• Engage children in play-based learning activities that promote creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
• Approach each assignment with flexibility and a willingness to tackle whatever the day holds!

Experience Candidates should possess relevant experience in childcare or early childhood education. Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in babysitting or nannying with a focus on child development.
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies tailored for children of all ages.
• Familiarity with infant and toddler care practices, including safety protocols such as first aid and CPR.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
• A background in infant care or early childhood education.
• Understanding of childhood development principles to effectively support children's growth.
