Interpreter/Teacher's Aide

We need an experienced teacher who can speak multiple languages fluently to provide interpreter services to our teachers and students. This person should be willing to float between different age groups and can be flexible to jump in where needed throughout our center. Looking for individuals that have a strong passion to impact not only the children in their care but their coworkers. An ideal candidate will be able to speak English, Spanish Creole, French and Burmese fluently.

Job Responsibilities:

We are currently interviewing for both full-time and part-time positions as we continue to grow. Work alongside other career-minded early childhood professionals educating our youngest learners. We believe the first five years of childhood are the most important in development and learning thus children have the right to be recognized as constructors of their own experiences. Our preschool and pre-kindergarten curriculum are designed to help children reach their fullest potential while enjoying themselves in a warm, friendly atmosphere. We are looking for strong Christian teachers who can instill strong Christian values in our students and guide them to walk in God's love and light.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma required and OFFICIAL transcripts.
• Experience working with young children.
• Candidates must speak Spanish Creole, English fluently in addition to having knowledge, understanding and practical experience working with the youngest children. Fluency in French and Burmese preferred as well.
• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Updated physical required prior to employment
• Certificate showing completion of Mandated Reporter Training.
• First Aid, CPR and Heimlich Maneuver certified.
• Personal qualifications: Licensing Standards for Day Care Centers, emotional maturity, willingness to cooperate with the aims of the program, respect for children and adults, flexibility, patience, good personal hygiene, and physical and mental health which does not interfere with responsibilities.
• Experience with the Head Start program a plus!
