Key Responsibilities
- Platform Ownership
- Serve as the go-to expert for GitHub and Azure DevOps, managing repositories, workflows, and automation.
- Oversee Azure Cloud architecture, including Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform) and Azure Landing Zones for scalability and security.
- Team Enablement
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to multiple development teams (covering .NET, Python, and front-end) to streamline deployments, troubleshoot issues, and encourage best practices.
- Collaborate with architects and product owners to incorporate DevOps principles into ongoing and future initiatives.
- Observability
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health, performance, and reliability.
- Establish best practices for centralized log analysis, metrics collection, and tracing to proactively detect and resolve issues.
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making using observability insights.
- Process Optimization
- Refine and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring quick feedback loops, robust testing, and reliable deployments.
- Track and improve key DevOps metrics (like DORA), enabling continuous improvement across the organization.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and develop a small team of DevOps engineers, promoting a culture of ownership, innovation, and learning.
- Engage with cross-functional stakeholders (Security, IT, QA) to align on standards, policy, and governance.
- 7 years in a DevOps or cloud engineering role, with at least 2-3 years of team leadership or mentorship experience.
- Proven expertise in Azure services, IaC tools (Bicep/Terraform), and containerization (Docker).
- Strong proficiency in GitHub and Azure DevOps administration, including CI/CD pipelines and repository management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a history of supporting cross-functional teams.
- A passion for continuous improvement, cloud automation, and delivering high-quality software quickly and securely.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Sentry, DataDog, etc…) and best practices.
