Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Content Assistance: Act as the cameraman for social media, helping set up interviews, filming content, and preparing props, mics, and other equipment.
- Community Management: Respond creatively and consistently to post comments, engage with our community and fostering relationships on our social media pages.
- Member Outreach: Assist with reaching out to members for signatures on consent forms for media purposes and testimonial videos.
- Influencer Outreach: Help identify potential influencers for collaborations on social media to increase brand awareness.
- Sponsorship Management: Assist in managing sponsorship requests and other inquiries to our charitable giving mailbox.
- Media Coverage Tracking: Track and update media coverage in the master spreadsheet as new placements come in.
- Website Collaboration: Work with the website team to add press coverage and update press releases on the Embrace website.
- Media Content Organization: Organize and categorize media content from veterinary contributors to streamline access and utilization.
- General Research: Conduct research for various team initiatives and campaigns as needed.
- General Support: Provide support for other public relations and external communications initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with basic media equipment and video recording tools is a plus.
- Gain practical experience in strategic communications, public relations, and social media management.
