As a Systems Administrator you will use your strong technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex network or server issues, as well as handle day-to-day help desk activities.
Requirements
- Plan, test, and implement upgrades for our information systems.
- Integrate new software applications.
- Manage devices on our network through Active Directory, Intune, and Kandji.
- Manage user access with Azure and GPO.
- Configure hardware (Servers, Firewalls, SANs).
- Resolve technical issues and system outages.
- Run performance reports, analyze server metrics, investigate log files.
- Design, install and configure internal and customer-facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
- Proactively manage and maintain server, storage, network, and firewall systems.
- Administer and support core Microsoft, Palo Alto and Hyper-V technologies.
- Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
- Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.
- Define and document best practices and support procedures.
- Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.
- Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
- Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations.
- Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Completion of a degree in an information technology field with 2 years of experience.
- Experience in a Windows networked environment.
- Experience with Hyper-V Clusters using Failover Cluster Manager is a plus.
- Experience with Dell Storage solutions.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office Suites.
- Experience with VOIP and digital phone system technologies is a plus.
- Experience configuring firewalls, VPN, routing, and networking technologies.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with business users.
