Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Child Placing Supervisor, the Treatment Foster Care Case Worker is responsible for managing the casework for children and families within the foster care program. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to supporting families in dynamic, impactful ways.
As a Case Worker, you will play a vital role in coordinating comprehensive care, ensuring that each child has access to the services and support needed to thrive in a foster environment.
Compensation: starting at $45,441
Key Responsibilities

Case Management and Support:
- Conduct interviews with children and families, and complete detailed home studies.
- Develop individualized treatment and service plans that address each child’s unique needs.
- Provide counseling and guidance to children and families throughout placement or discharge.

Child and Family Supervision:
- Oversee children in foster, resource, and adoptive homes, as well as independent living arrangements.
- Perform regular assessments to determine the child’s needs for medical, psychosocial, educational, and nutritional services.

Service Coordination and Continuity:
- Link children to appropriate services, minimizing barriers to care and coordinating with other agencies to ensure comprehensive service access.
- Assist in arranging referrals for medical, remedial, and dental services as outlined in each child’s treatment plan.
- Monitor the ongoing progress of each case, evaluating the effectiveness of the care plan and collaborating with involved parties, including family assessment teams.

Education and Counseling:
- Build a supportive, trusting relationship with the child, promoting growth and well-being in alignment with the service plan.
- Educate children and families on available resources and work closely with team members to prepare comprehensive case plans.
Qualifications

Education:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Social Work or a related field (sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling) from an accredited institution, or
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field with relevant experience in casework services.

Experience:
- At least one year of experience in providing casework services to children and families with a master’s degree, or
- Two years of experience in casework services with a bachelor’s degree in any field.
