Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, hardworking, and dedicated Foster Parent Recruiter to drive the recruitment and retention of foster parents for our Treatment Foster Care program. Ideal candidates will have a background in marketing, business, or communications, along with knowledge of Virginia's Foster Care program. This role focuses on community engagement, marketing initiatives, and fostering relationships to ensure the growth and success of our foster care services.
Location: Norfolk, VA
Compensation: starting at $52,649
Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Outreach:
- Develop targeted recruitment and retention plans to attract prospective foster parents.
- Organize and attend local events to promote awareness of foster care programs and resources.
- Use social media and other digital platforms for marketing and recruitment efforts.

Marketing and Communication:
- Create compelling marketing materials, such as flyers, to educate families about foster care resources and opportunities.
- Plan and deliver educational presentations and information sessions to individuals, families, community groups, and businesses.
- Track and analyze recruitment activities, including contacts, visits, presentations, and events.

Relationship Building:
- Facilitate referrals for foster parent inquiries and maintain regular contact with prospective families.
- Collaborate closely with the Treatment Foster Care (TFC) Program Director and local team members to move prospective families through the approval process.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders to enhance recruitment efforts.

Administrative and Strategic Planning:
- Ensure initial contact with prospective foster parents within 72 hours of inquiry.
- Collaborate with the TFC program to implement recruitment and retention strategies.
- Adjust marketing strategies based on feedback and effectiveness.

Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director to improve recruitment effectiveness and marketing reach.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
- Background in marketing, business, or communications.
- Knowledge of Virginia’s Foster Care program preferred.

- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in social media marketing and other digital outreach tools.
- Initiative, persistence, and perseverance in recruitment activities.
