We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced personal care aide for a wonderful 91-year-old woman who requires assistance. We are looking for someone who is 40 years old or older and has a background in caregiving.
The position involves providing 30 hours of care per week from 10am-4pm, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The ideal candidate should be able to assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals while considering any dietary restrictions, assisting with mobility and lifting as needed, and engaging the client in activities to promote both physical and mental well-being.

Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
- Assist with medication reminders and adherence as directed by healthcare providers.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding client information.
Skills
- Proficient in cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Strong cleaning skills to ensure a hygienic living environment for clients.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality.
- Experience or education in social work or related fields is advantageous.
- Familiarity with home community care practices, particularly for seniors.
- Background in senior care, including memory care techniques, is preferred.
- Ability to monitor patients effectively and respond appropriately to their needs.
- Certification in first aid is a plus, ensuring readiness for any emergencies that may arise.
