VALOR - Dual Diagnosis Counselor - $4,000 Sign On Bonus
The Dual Diagnosis Counselor is responsible for providing direct therapeutic services, group and individual, to dually diagnosed, justice involved individuals needing mental health competency restoration supports. It is essential to have thorough knowledge of substance use and mental health disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and related evidenced based assessment tools and treatment. This role requires good judgement and flexibility in responding to crisis to follow up with supportive services to participants, provide focus and directed oversight, communication, and coordination. This is a 24 / 7 program and may require night and weekend coverage for the safety and well-being of all clients residing in the facility. Shifts may change to meet the requirements of daily operations. May be required to travel to attend limited meetings with contracting agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE :
Master’s degree in social service field or related field.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) in good standing with Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
