The Student Engagement Coordinator is responsible for developing, promoting, and managing programs that enhance student involvement and engagement within our community of online learners. This role involves collaborating with various departments to support student retention, personal development, and academic success. In addition, this position serves as a resource and point of contact for students, promoting a vibrant and inclusive campus culture.

- Develop and Implement Engagement Programs: Design and execute initiatives, events, and activities that promote student engagement in an online learning environment, including social, cultural, academic, and leadership development programs.
- Communication and Promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase awareness and participation in student experiences through digital platforms, social media, email campaigns, and other digital marketing outreach.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to student clubs and organizations, assisting them with event planning, leadership development, and group dynamics.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Monitor and evaluate the efficacy of student engagement initiatives through feedback, surveys, and participation data. Provide regular reports to leadership on engagement metrics and outcomes.
- Event Management: Organize large-scale events, such as clubs and organizations fairs, International Education Week, and in-person student programming, ensuring their seamless execution and meeting the diverse needs of our student body.
- Leadership Development: Facilitate leadership training and workshops for student leaders, enhancing their skills in teamwork, communication, and project management.
- Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with academic and administrative departments to align student engagement programs with institutional objectives, student engagement initiatives, student success strategies, and retention measures.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master's in Student Affairs preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience in student programming, engagement, or related roles
- Strong organizational and event-planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work with a diverse student population and foster an inclusive environment
- Knowledge of student development theory and best practices in student engagement
- Experience leading and managing digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email, and display advertising.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Creative problem-solving and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines
- Empathy and active listening skills for working with students from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in advising student organizations in higher education setting
- Experience working with online students, active military, and veterans
- Proficiency in digital marketing efforts, and understanding current trends within the digital landscape.
- Experience with data collection and assessment of student programs.
