Join us, and let’s improve lives together. **This position is eligible to work from home anywhere in the United States** Serves as a technical subject matter expert in solution architecture domain, providing guidance, training, and consulting services to product teams, projects, and programs. Designs, presents, and administers application and solution architecture strategies, standards, patterns, and architecture principles following established enterprise frameworks and guardrails. Partners with developers to create solutions that resolve business problems using existing and new technologies. Researches, evaluates, and implements new technology to optimize operational efficiency, infrastructure flexibility, and operational stability. Writes highly complex code for proof of concepts and reference applications as needed. Essential Functions: Serves as a technical subject matter expert in solution architecture domain, providing guidance, training, and consulting services to product teams, projects, and programs. Designs, presents, and administers application and solution architecture strategies, standards, patterns, and architecture principles following defined frameworks and guardrails. Develops and maintains technology roadmaps for future changes to the architecture of IT solutions. Produces high level frameworks that align an organization’s IT infrastructure with business processes/data to improve the efficiency and productivity of business operations. Provides strategic solution architecture consulting services to developers and leaders throughout the enterprise. Designs and develops IT architecture solutions to business problems, such as integrated processes, applications, and data and technology, in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Collaborates with digital product managers to create technical solutions aligned with business goals. Researches, evaluates, proposes and implements new technology and industry trends to optimize operational efficiency, infrastructure flexibility, and operational stability. Conducts technology evaluations, proof of concepts and proof of values. Evaluates the total cost of ownership and return on investment of various architecture alternatives. Analyzes and recommends types of training that teams need to align with the evolving technology direction. Participates in solution architecture governance activities to maintain architecture artifacts such as catalog of business capabilities and application portfolio. Maps the relationships between information systems components (i.e. end users, business processes, applications, data, IT platform hardware/software, and networks). Identifies key interactions and dependencies across separate systems and platforms. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, management information systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience Ten years of experience in architecture, DevOps, application development or enterprise systems infrastructure, including experience with scripting, automating, and deploying in AWS, Azure, or GCP or related experience AWS and/or Azure certifications preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Excellent knowledge of modern/emerging programming languages Excellent knowledge of architectural artifacts such as logical diagrams, data flow diagrams, and infrastructure diagrams Excellent knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe Ability to learn new technologies and applications (cloud, on-premise, third party vendor) Strong leadership skills Strong understanding of cloud-native principles and practices Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to effectively assess impacts, compare solutions, and create recommendations to achieve business and technical objectives Ability to successfully lead a project team and provide strategic solutions tailored to meet business objectives Ability to actively influence business partners and technology delivery teams on solutioning Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences Excellent planning and organizational skills The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $109,818.00-$157,391.00 range or the $121,061.00-$173,534.00 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
