EMC Mechanical Services is looking for a Sheet Metal Superintendent to join our growing team. The Sheet Metal Superintendent oversees the installation of HVAC ductwork and other sheet metal systems on commercial construction projects. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications and industry codes. The superintendent is also responsible for managing field crews, coordinating with other trades, and service as the on-site sheet metal expert.

What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and coordinate sheet metal installation crews on construction projects.
- Plan, schedule, and manage labor, materials, and equipment needs for each project.
- Review and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
- Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trade supervisors.
- Troubleshoot installation or fabrication issues and resolve them efficiently.
- Track project progress and report updates to senior management.
- Lead by example to maintain a high level of crew morale, productivity and workmanship.
- Assist with the fabrication process when necessary and ensure accurate delivery of materials to site.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial sheet metal/HVAC installation experience, with at least 2 in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork systems, fabrication, and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and shop drawings.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Driving Requirements
- Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Must have positive points on state driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
- Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
- All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.

- Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
