Job Title: Purchasing Buyer/Analyst

Overview: We are looking to hire a meticulous individual who will assist in the procurement of raw materials, MRO supplies, office supplies, and other miscellaneous products. The successful candidate will have effective communication skills and be responsible for maintaining inventory records and supporting the sales team by identifying opportunities for new products. The role involves collaborating closely with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials to support production schedules.

Responsibilities

1. Procurement

· Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.

· Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.

· Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.

2. Supplier Management

· Maintain strong relationships with current suppliers and develop new supplier relationships.

· Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of suppliers.

· Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.

3. Inventory Management

· Monitor inventory levels and forecast future material requirements.

· Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure adequate stock levels.

· Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and reduce costs.

4. Cost Management

· Analyze market trends and pricing strategies to ensure competitive pricing.

· Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

· Prepare and present cost analysis reports to management.

5. Compliance

· Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records.

· Conduct risk assessments for new and existing suppliers.

6. Collaboration

· Work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to understand material requirements.

· Coordinate with finance for budget adherence and payment processing.

· Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align procurement strategies with company goals.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in procurement/purchasing in a manufacturing environment.

· Utilize the operating system to assure minimum stocking levels are maintained in line with current demand.

· Manage the maintenance of office equipment.

· Prepare cost estimates when requested.

· Work to improve purchasing systems and processes.

· Maintain Supplier Score Cards where applicable.

· Someone who thrives in dynamic environments, readily adjusts to new situations, and embraces challenges with a positive attitude.

· Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
