Entry-level change and configuration management support. Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Provides configuration management planning. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
Primary Skills/Responsibilities
Leverage processes, utilizing ITIL best practices to ensure the IT organization designs, deploys, and sustains high quality, highly available solutions that align with business and IT strategic objectives.
Ensure that IT has the appropriate level of process definition, rigor, and reporting to deliver the highest level of quality, value, flexibility, and visibility to the organization.
Basic Qualifications/Responsibilities
Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives within Change and Configuration processes to deliver operational results.
Update existing Service Management systems’ tickets and Configuration Item fields.
Ensure change identification by reviewing design and release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates.
Apply ITIL principles, methods, techniques, and best practices to configuration management and change management.
Experience with Change management.
Experience with Hardware (HW) or Software (SW) asset management.
Preferred Qualifications
Comprehensive subject matter expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in change, configuration, release, and asset management support.
Comprehensive knowledge of and familiarity with change management software applications, BMC Remedy and ServiceNow.
ITIL certifications preferred.
