We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, performance, and integrity of our databases while supporting business applications and IT infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related tools.
Monitor and optimize database performance, tuning, and capacity planning.
Ensure database security, backup, and disaster recovery solutions are in place and functioning effectively.
Manage user access, roles, and permissions in compliance with security policies.
Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations while minimizing downtime.
Develop and maintain database documentation, including configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
Work closely with application developers to design, implement, and optimize database structures and queries.
Support and troubleshoot database-related issues, providing timely resolutions.
Automate routine database maintenance tasks to improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with data governance and industry best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA managing enterprise databases.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Database versions (e.g., 12c, 19c, or later).
Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning techniques.
Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and database migration strategies.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
Knowledge of IT security principles and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting.
Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible.
Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
