We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Project Manager to oversee and manage various construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of project scheduling, estimating, and site management, as well as proficiency in industry-standard software.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Conduct thorough construction estimating to provide accurate cost assessments.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide project execution.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations.
- Monitor construction site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Prepare regular project updates for stakeholders and address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Implement effective project scheduling techniques to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
- Utilize Civil 3D for site design and analysis when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the commercial construction sector.
- 5-15 years of experience managing ground up , TI and remodel projects
- Experience with Tilt wall is an asset
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices and methodologies.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with software
- Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to understand complex technical documents.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site at various construction locations as required.
- A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
