We’re seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join a leading general contractor in the Atlanta area. You'll play a critical role in shaping early project success, working closely with clients, architects, and internal teams from initial concept through final estimate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the preconstruction process for assigned projects
- Prepare detailed hard bid estimates and competitive pricing proposals
- Review plans, specifications, and other project documents to develop accurate scopes of work
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors
- Interface directly with clients and design teams, representing the company in meetings and presentations
- Provide value engineering solutions and budget management during the design phase
- Track market pricing, construction trends, and subcontractor relationships
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in preconstruction and estimating, preferably in commercial construction
- Strong hard bid and negotiated proposal experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead preconstruction efforts and build trust with clients and design teams
- Proficient in preconstruction software
