Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Shift: 6:00PM – 6:00AM (2 on - 2 off - 3 on)
Responsibilities:
The maintenance electrician will be responsible for:
- Maintaining primary and secondary/electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts
- Troubleshooting control circuitry, variable frequency drives and other special electrical systems
- Service batteries and transformers
- Demonstrate ability to read and follow blueprints
- Demonstrate understanding of AC motor controls and how to maintain, test, and repair
- Demonstrate understanding of VFD's and how to install, maintain, and troubleshoot
- Responsible for completion of all PM and record keeping assigned to his/her areas of responsibility
- Submit electrician's reports for all work done as required
- Make recommendations to supervisor as necessary on performance of all equipment
- Respond to emergencies at any time
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, demonstrating basic safe work practices based on company and customer policies and procedures
Requirements:
- HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Trades (Electrical)
- Journeyman's license or four-year apprenticeship program completed
- Five or more years' experience working in Commercial, Industrial, and Manufacturing environment
- Proven knowledge of related building codes, regulations and ordinances
- Proven ability to effectively read, interpret and work from plans, schematics and drawings
- Prior experience in project estimation of electrical labor, materials and equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills and good customer service skills
