TRC is seeking an ADMS Engineer to support the deployment of Automated Distribution Management System (ADMS) and Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration (FLISR) project. This role involves feeder automation, system modeling, SCADA integration, and testing. Prior experience in these areas is preferred, but we are open to candidates with a strong technical background and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
Assist in FLISR deployment and ADMS
Support feeder modeling, load flow analysis, and SCADA point
Identify and address FLISR failure risks and automation
Develop and execute test procedures for ADMS and SCADA
Create training materials and documentation for operators and field teams.
FLISR ready feeder definition
Review of MV DPAM Flisr plan & execution for FLISR readiness
Scada point review for FLISR feeders
Qualifications
Requires 5+ years of experience of SCADA / ADMS, operational support of real-time control systems
Engineering background (Electrical, Power Systems, or related).
Previous experience with products from one of the major DMS providers including GE, AspenTech/OSII, ABB/Hitachi, Siemens, etc.
Familiarity with ADMS, SCADA, or feeder automation (Hitachi experience is a plus).
Basic understanding of protection schemes and load flow
Experience with software testing and defect tracking tools (Jira or similar).
Assist with Defect testing for patches / upgrades
Conduct support for operator / field training
Identify maintenance process /requirements to keep feeders FLISR ready
FLISR substation review for MV feeders
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present information to various audiences in both formal and informal settings
Strong customer service focus with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholders which includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to deploy a structured approach to problem solving and work practices
Requires a bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience

Salary : $88,000 - $175,000
