Job Title : Maintenance Technician
Job Summary :
EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician in Mitchel Field, NY (Monday – Friday from 7 : 30am – 4 : 00pm). The Technician will report daily to the customer Facility Manager and support him / her to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. Primary responsibilities are responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on any building operational concerns as well as performing general maintenance of equipment as required. Knowledge of and capable of performing minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, flooring and various general tasks assigned listed below. Qualified applicants must be a US Citizen, possess a valid driver’s license and have at least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance and dealing with a wide range of general type services. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to be on-call during non-business hours. This position requires applicant to possess an “Active Secret Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain a security clearance and willing to immediately complete / provide the documentation required to obtain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Abides by all safety guidelines including OSHA regulations, lock-out / tag-out, etc.
- Conducts “shift rounds” (regular checks of systems and equipment to identify issues, and document systems and equipment performance).
Competently maintains, troubleshoots, and performs equipment repairs. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for :
Communicating effectively with the client Facility Manager to determine service needs. Reports any operational concerns to the client and supports client sub-contractors while performing service on site.
Qualifications :
Must have an Active Security Clearance OR the ability to obtain a secret clearance to qualify for position.

Compensation Range : $30-$38 / hr
