Job Title: Fabrication Sales Representative – Madison, WI
Job Summary: The Fabrication Sales Representative is responsible for working with customers seeking sheet metal fabrication and managing projects through the fabrication process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively pursue and acquire new fabrication business through developing and maintaining strong client, vendor, and co-worker relationships.
- Proactively cross-sell products and services to existing customer base as well as prospect for new business.
- Keep informed of industry trends, check on competitive activity, and develop new methods of attaining new business.
- Effectively communicate with customers and fellow IKM team members.
- Work closely with other members of sales, estimating, and project execution team.
- Review construction documents and understands scope of work to bid.
- Work with contract administrator to manage the financial aspects of contracts to protect the Company’s interest and simultaneously maintain a positive relationship with the customer.
- Perform sales forecasting and planning.
- Actively works with operations to improve processes.
- Participates in department meetings as requested.
- Performs additional assignments as requested and maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in Sales
- Have the ability to read and understand technical specifications, construction plans and contract requirements
- 3 years of experience in HVAC, Fabrication, productions industry preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Understanding of SMACNA standards for duct construction
