Job Title: Millwright/Industrial Mechanic
Job Summary: Repair and maintain industrial machinery in a prosperous aerospace facility in the Cromwell/Wallingford CT area. Position is a Monday to Friday 2nd shift. 3pm-11:30. Job paying top wages.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Installing equipment, repairing items, and transferring machinery to needed locations.
• Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
• Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations
• Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
• Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones• Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
• Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
• Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers; aligns machines and equipment; assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures; may operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts may repair and lubricate machines and equipment; may be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates.
Qualifications Qualifications range from strong mechanical abilities with limited millwright experience to having experience working on industrial machinery.
