Job Title: Piping Planner
Job Summary:
EMCOR Services Scalise Industries has an immediate need for a Piping Planner at its office in Lawrence, PA. This position will prepare necessary design and coordination drawings consistent with project plans and specifications.
General Functions and Responsibilities:
Provide necessary design and coordination drawings including:
- Shop drawings and detail drawings.
- Sleeve penetration drawings.
- Coordination drawings.
- Prefabrication drawings.
- As-built drawings.
- Read and understand contract drawings, schedules and specifications.
- Prepare design / drafting on AutoCAD MEP 2022, Revit 2022 & Navisworks 2022.
- Be able to work closely with Project Managers and associated personnel relating to contract changes, equipment buyouts, RFIs, change orders, etc.
Additional Duties:
- Actively be involved with the Job Supervisors, Foremen and Project Managers to provide information and assist in the solution of design related problems.
- Have a good knowledge of the construction process.
- Working with the Prefabrication Department in the fabrication of work going to the field.
- Attend coordination meetings with various trades as a representative of the company.
- Navigate folder structures to locate and retrieve required information in job folders.
- Understand file naming conventions to have the ability to send or receive and accurately place files in appropriate locations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the plumbing and/or HVAC piping industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting design and coordination drawings in the plumbing and/or HVAC industry on AutoCAD MEP, Revit & Navisworks6.
