Job Title: Project Superintendent ( 8 month engagement)
Job Summary:
Project Superintendent provides onsite supervision to ensure that construction activities are carried out in accordance with the project timeline, design specifications, and safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction project progress to ensure it is following the established timeline.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure they meet their contractual obligations.
- Adherence to building codes, safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and report on project status to stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise in the construction process.
- Implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks.
- Effective communication with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
- Maintaining construction budgets and tracking project costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, project management, or a related field (Preferred).
- Sufficient experience in the construction industry, typically at least 5 years, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with construction management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team and interact with various stakeholders.
- Certifications such as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
- Problem solving expertise, demonstrated by identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner; working with others to solve complex issues.
- Interpersonal skills, demonstrated by considering and responding appropriately to the needs and capabilities of different people in different situations; tactfulness; treating others with respect; and relating effectively to others when encountering difficult situations.
- Experience with SmartSheet, SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
