Job Title: Landscape Technician (DISA)

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Landscape Technician at Hill AFB, Utah to perform ground maintenance service to maintain or improve landscapes. The Landscape Technician will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of the data center's outdoor landscaping, including tasks like planting, trimming, irrigation management, weed control, and overall groundskeeping, ensuring a clean and visually appealing environment while adhering to strict data center safety and cleanliness standards to meet the customer’s needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Proficiency in operating and maintaining lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, snowplow truck and other snow removal equipment efficiently and safely.

• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain irrigation systems, perform sprinkler system maintenance, operation and repairs.
• Remove yard debris and manage weed control.
• Perform snow removal services, may be required to report during off hours.
• Perform seasonal activities, such as fall cleanup and winter assignments, efficiently and safely.
• Maintaining a high standard of appearance and cleanliness of all outdoor spaces.
• Adhering to data center safety protocols, including proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
• Assist in the building facility maintenance when needed to perform GMW type maintenance during down time of property.
• Communicate effectively and cooperate with supervisors, clients, etc.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of experience using landscape maintenance equipment.
• Ability to do small engine and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks like lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions
• Ability to learn and use CMMS Work Order System.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Must be US Citizen with the ability to acquire a Secret Clearance.
• NFPA70E Certified during employment required.
• OSHA 10 certification or the ability to obtain one after hire

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily walking, standing, and bending with some sitting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, visual and listening skills
• Close visual work on a computer terminal.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required equipment as well as to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
• Able to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work on raised platforms.

Work Conditions:

• Data Center environment with varying temperatures and loud noises.
• Periodic exposure to weather elements (Heat & Cold)

Special Requirements:

• Must be willing to be part of the after-hours notification and escalation protocol.
• Must wear Safety shoes, PPE and company provided uniform.
