What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker position at EMCOR?
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Following directions
- Loads material onto trucks and/or trailers
- Unloading delivery trucks
- Responsible for accuracy on all outgoing deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Acts as a substitute for Warehouse Manager as required
- Follow workplace safety procedures and GWP practices
- Attitude is expected to be positive, motivated and focused at all times
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to work flexible hours, normal hours are M-Th 9:00-5:30, Fri 8:00-4:00
- Experience with maintenance/operation of basic tools and equipment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Minimum 1 year mechanical construction experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND CHARACTERISTICS:
- Self-starter
- Extremely reliable
- Organized
- Excellent communication skills
- Moderate Computer Skills
- Knowledge of basic tools
- Ability to work well in a team
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Work is normally performed in a warehouse environment
- Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves moderate exposure to construction warehouse hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
