Your Role :
EMD Electronics is a recognized materials supplier, with multiple products currently being used in cutting-edge Augmented and Virtual Reality Devices. In your role as AR / VR Principal Engineer, you will help us deepen our understanding of this technology, allowing us to delineate how our products can push the performance of current devices. You will play a central role in helping us to define scale-up paths for products using our materials and processes.
You will be based at our Silicon Valley critical initiative in San Jose to develop new materials to impact next-generation AR / VR products.
Tasks :
- As an optical engineer, you will be in charge of finding scalable ways to pattern Polarization Volume Hologram (PVH) waveguides.
- You will also help us find ways to effectively and repeatably characterize our components at the grating and combiner levels.
- You will work with OEMs to scope and develop tools that are able to increase throughput while maintaining high yield and optical performance.

Pay Range for this position : $143,500 - $215,300
Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data.
