Your Role:
The Production Technician Operator position is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business that offers room for growth and advancement. The Production Technician (Operator) position requires working a rotating 12-hour shift and being able to perform elementary and some complex operations. Specific responsibilities include:
- Knowledge of hazards of the products, container handling and delivery system operation and successfully complete and document all mandatory EH&S and regulatory training
- Complete training relevant to HAZWOPER First Responder Awareness Level
- Carry out manufacturing operational tasks, including processing of hazardous materials, labeling of waste products and delivering to the proper waste storage area
- Conduct container change-outs using associated container handling equipment
- Maintain on-site gas and chemical delivery systems, abatement systems and associated equipment
- Knowledge of safety requirements on site
Physical Attribute:
- Occasionally wear a full-face air purifying respirator and other PPE
- Lift up to 50 pounds cylinders with assistant
- Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1 years of experience in chemical facilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operational experience in chemical manufacturing industry
- Experience within the chemical industry
- Knowledge of safety regulation working around chemicals
