External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.Your Role : Millipore Sigma, Round Rock, is seeking to hire an experienced Analytical Scientist for its Analytical Quality Control (AQC) operations. The individual will be responsible for testing of neat materials and reference standard products primarily by (U)HPLC and GC. Additional testing such as LC / MS, GC / MS, KF, ROI and / or NMR assigned as needed and in alignment with experience. Specific responsibilities include : Use experience and education to solve problems, optimize processes, and develop new processes and methodsMaintain and qualify analytical instrumentationReview data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with quality requirementsDevelop and validate methodsRespond efficiently to evolving prioritiesPhysical Attributes : Work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or hazardous chemicalsParticular vision specifications : close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision, and adjust focusMay wear : air helmet, mask, safety shoes, apron, rubber and Tyvek suits, protective gloves, safety glasses, or gogglesOccasionally lift / move up to 40 poundsWho You AreMinimum Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Life Sciences discipline4 years experience performing quality control and / or analytical chemistry in a regulated environment (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO)ORMaster’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Life Sciences discipline3 years experience performing quality control and / or analytical chemistry in a regulated environment (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO)Preferred Qualifications : Experience in an analytical lab analyzing neat materials for chemical purity and assay for concentrationProficiency in technical fundamentals, organizational skills, documentation, and effective communicationExperience in separations science, in an analytical and / or bioanalytical lab by UHPLC and / or UHLC / MSExperience with instrument maintenance and troubleshootingThrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and quality-oriented regulated environmentThrive in fast-paced environments while working effectively with a teamWhat we offer : We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
