Job Overview
Emerald Beach Hotel is looking for a reliable and friendly room attendant to join our team.
Room attendants will ensure that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to company standards in a timely manner.
A successful room attendant candidate will be able finish the rooms assigned on their task sheet on time for the check in period while maintaining cleanliness of their work areas including hallways and rooms, Ability to address guest queries promptly in a polite manner and will have detailed knowledge of housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.
Room Attendant Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests and responding to queries/requests.
- Changing bed linen and making beds.
- Replenishing towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
- Replacing bed sheets.
- Sweeping and mopping floors.
- Vacuuming carpets.
- Dusting and polishing furniture.
- Emptying and replacing trash can liners.
- Cleaning and maintaining public areas.
- Reporting any technical/maintenance issues.
- Updating status of guest rooms on assigned task sheet.
- Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
Job Requirements:
- Previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience is an asset.
- Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products.
- Weekend availability is a must.
- Ability to work with little supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to carry 50lbs or more.
- Must be able to stand and walk entire shift.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Professional and polite.
